Governor's Budget Plan
Could Increase Taxes
Governor Corzine’s
2008 State budget calls for a massive reduction in state aid to municipalities.
Under the plan, small towns, those under 10,000 people, are being hit hardest.
Eastampton, if the plan is approved, will lose 24% of its municipal aid while
larger towns, those over 10,000 people will lose about 4%. This will result in a

Councilman Nagler Proposes Regional Shared
Services
While Mayor Renzulli is fighting the state to keep
our fair share of municipal aid, Councilman Keith Nagler has proposed a regional
shared services forum with the other 4 sending districts in the Rancocas Valley.

Eastampton deeming the walking routes safe. This has raised questions; How a
route was deemed unsafe last year and safe this year? A further question is; Are

State Senator Alder
Visits Eastampton
It is not often a State Senator and
candidate for Congress visits Eastampton but State Senator John Adler is not
your ordinary candidate for political office. From humble roots (his father
owned a dry cleaning business), Senator Adler is running for Congress from the
3rd District, which includes Eastampton, to give a voice to the common man in
Washington. First, he appeared at a coffee to meet and greet residents. About 30
