Eastampton Police
Save Lives
In a recent fire, after a neighbor called 9-1-1, it was the
Eastampton Police that were first on the scene. They knocked on the door and
informed the unsuspecting homeowner their house was on fire. Thanks to your
Eastampton Police Department, the lives of this and countless other families
have been saved.
The pledge of Nagler, Campbell and Springer is clear: We
will maintain the independence and integrity of the Eastampton Police
Department.

Uniform Crime Report for Burlington County Times as reported in the Burlington
County Times (Hainesport is patrolled by the State Police)
In 2008, $438 of the yearly property taxes on the average
home goes to support the Eastampton Police Department, much less than the yearly cost of cable/sattellite
TV or cell phone service.
The 2007 crime statics are very clear; the crime rates in
the other 4 RV sending district towns is between a 35% and 60% higher than the
crime rate in Eastampton. That is not by accident. Eastampton has the best police department in Burlington County.
What if our police department were disbanded? What would
Eastampton do for police protection? The state police are no longer contracting
with municipalities to provide policing services. Eastampton would have to contract
with another town for police services. Your tax dollars will be going out of
town to pay another town to patrol our streets. Eastampton has the lowest overall
crime rates for the five towns. Why would you put your family at risk by having
another police department patrol our streets?
What will you lose if the Eastampton Police Department is
disbanded and your tax dollars go to pay another town’s police department?
